{"id":152,"date":"2025-12-24T17:51:36","date_gmt":"2025-12-24T17:51:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hykaz.net\/?page_id=152"},"modified":"2025-12-30T22:23:34","modified_gmt":"2025-12-30T22:23:34","slug":"about-committees","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/hykaz.net\/fr\/about\/about-committees\/","title":{"rendered":"Committees"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Real Estate<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Real Estate Advisory Committee<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The&nbsp;Real Estate Advisory Committee&nbsp;established by Manitoba Regulation 593\/88 under&nbsp;<em>The Real Estate Brokers Act<\/em>&nbsp;recommends real estate projects to the Commission for funding from the interest the Commission receives from real estate brokers\u2019 trust accounts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Committee reviews and recommends projects to The Manitoba Securities Commission for funding from the interest which the Commission receives from real estate brokers\u2019 trust accounts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Real Estate Brokers Act and M.R. 593\/88 describe the projects that may be approved for funding:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 educational programs relating to the real estate industry and the objectives of the Act;<br>\u2013 not-for-profit initiatives to promote affordable home ownership and area revitalization;<br>\u2013 real estate research and legislative reform;<br>\u2013 the study and improvement of real estate business practice; and<br>\u2013 other projects designed to further the objectives of the Act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Committee is comprised of five members recommended by The Manitoba Real Estate Association and appointed by The Manitoba Securities Commission. They serve without pay for two-year terms and may be re-appointed for one or more additional terms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The membership of the Committee must comprise the following categories of individuals:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 three brokers\/authorized officials<br>\u2013 one real estate salesman<br>\u2013 a public representative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A chairperson is selected from among the members of the Committee and calls and presides at Committee meetings. The Executive Director of The Manitoba Real Estate Association acts as secretary and has no voting privileges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Recommendations for funding are made to The Manitoba Securities Commission by the Chairperson through the Registrar of<em>&nbsp;The Real Estate Brokers Act.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>The current members of the Committee are:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cliff King, Broker, Re\/Max Executives Realty (Chair)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Miriam Munn, Broker, Royal LePage\/Martin-Liberty Realty<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shirley Przybyl, Broker, Century 21 Bachman &amp; Associates<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ute Vann, Salesperson, Royal LePage Dynamic Real Estate<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rev. Bill Gillis, Public Member<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Real Estate Advisory Council<\/strong><br>The&nbsp;Real Estate Advisory Council&nbsp;is a non-statutory body established in 1996 by The Manitoba Securities Commission and The Manitoba Real Estate Association (MREA) to advise and make recommendations to the Commission and MREA on real estate issues; to consider mutually beneficial ideas, policies or legislative reform; and give advance notice of trends or developments in the real estate industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Council membership comprises up to ten individuals representing the real estate industry and regulatory interests as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 four registrants under The Real Estate Brokers Act serving three-year terms;<br>\u2013 the Chair or designee of the Real Estate Subsection of the Manitoba Bar Association;<br>\u2013 a member of the Executive Committee of MREA;<br>\u2013 up to two representatives from real estate-related organizations other than the MREA (e.g., The Manitoba Home Builders\u2019 Association and The Professional Property Managers\u2019 Association) for a one year term;<br>\u2013 the Registrar of The Real Estate Brokers Act; and<br>\u2013 the Executive Director of MREA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Chair is appointed by the MREA and acts as spokesman for Council and presides at meetings of Council. Council\u2019s recommendations are conveyed by the Chair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Council meets at least once every year or more frequently at the call of the Chair to consider issues referred to Council by the Commission or MREA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The members of Council are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Claude Davis (Chair) Royal LePage Dynamic Real Estate<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Michael Barrett Re\/Max Valleyview Realty<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tom Fulton RE\/MAX Performance Realty<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lori Richard Canadian Condominium Institute, Manitoba Chapter<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>David Powell Powell Property Group<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>David Salvatore Manitoba Real Estate Association<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keith Schinkel MSC<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ron Tardiff Sutton Group \u2013 Kilkenny Real Estate<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Robert L.
