We are dedicated to treating all individuals in a way that allows them to maintain their dignity and independence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We believe in inclusion and are committed to meeting the needs of people who face accessibility barriers. We will do this by identifying, removing, and preventing barriers and by meeting the requirements of the <strong>Accessibility for Manitobans Act (AMA)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Compliance with the Accessibility for Manitobans Act (AMA)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are actively working to comply with the accessibility standards established under the AMA. Our policies and practices are designed to align with the following standard areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Accessible Customer Service:<\/strong> We are committed to providing our goods, services, and facilities in a way that respects the dignity and independence of people with disabilities. We train our staff to communicate and interact respectfully with persons disabled by barriers, and we welcome the use of assistive devices, support persons, and service animals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Accessible Employment:<\/strong> We are committed to fair and accessible employment practices. We accommodate people with disabilities during the recruitment, assessment, and hiring processes, and we provide individualized workplace emergency response information to employees who have a disability.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Accessible Information and Communication:<\/strong> We are committed to making our information and communications accessible to all Manitobans. This includes our website, internal and external communications, and the formats in which we provide information upon request.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Accessible Design of Public Spaces:<\/strong> If we construct new public spaces or undergo significant renovations, we will meet the accessibility requirements outlined in the AMA to ensure our physical environments are welcoming and accessible to everyone.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Digital Accessibility Conformance Status<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of our Information and Communication Standard goals, we strive to ensure our digital presence is accessible to all. We are working to adhere to the <strong>Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) [2.1 \/ 2.2] level [AA]<\/strong>, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Features we have integrated into our website include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Keyboard navigation compatibility.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Descriptive alternative text (alt text) for meaningful images.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>High color contrast ratios for better readability.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scalable text to aid users with low vision.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ongoing Efforts and Training<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Accessibility is an ongoing journey. <strong><strong>Manitoba Financial Services Agency<\/strong><\/strong> is process of developing multi-year accessibility plan that outlines the steps we are taking to meet our goals under the AMA.
